It's a fun job (wish it was salaried) - but you get to attend all the rehearsals and performances.
My Ex once did the Supertitles for SF Opera - which is how we met. (When you see a foreign film - the translation at the bottom of the screen in English is similiar to what he does.) He still does this for Santa Fe Opera every Summer.. I hope you have a chance to attend next Summer...it is an amazing venue to see an Opera....

Hugs,

♥ Robin ♥Robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15247046205493711677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4805249651108734322.post-56217538378383371912010-09-29T04:28:18.888-07:002010-09-29T04:28:18.888-07:00very romantic, sad, brilliant. oh to have a voice ...very romantic, sad, brilliant. oh to have a voice like that....Mimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12409455543895086283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4805249651108734322.post-51282708199884739562010-09-28T15:20:44.572-07:002010-09-28T15:20:44.572-07:00Hi Robin,

Did you also work at the Opera when you were living in Santa Fe? I was just curious. I've only been to the Opera once- it was Phantom of the Opera in Portland w/ my grams.
I'm somewhat of a hopeless romantic, so this would have gotten to me for sure!beckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02070619577137197512noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4805249651108734322.post-13248844598760291402010-09-28T12:32:43.554-07:002010-09-28T12:32:43.554-07:00Suki...such wise words from a wise friend....yes, ...Suki...such wise words from a wise friend....yes, I guess it is like all things in life...as we age, we grow....and our life's experiences teach us so much that ultimately affect our understanding of all forms of art....

Can't believe we will meet in three days!!!!!

Love,

♥ Robin ♥Robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15247046205493711677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4805249651108734322.post-48680881116128822932010-09-28T12:30:35.159-07:002010-09-28T12:30:35.159-07:00Melanie.... that first aria IS the wonderful Ramo...Melanie.... that first aria IS the wonderful Ramon Vargas.... he was just heartbreakingly gorgeous......
