"This is the violet hour, the hour of hush and wonder, when the affectations glow and valor is reborn, when the shadows deepen along the edge of the forest and we believe that, if we watch carefully, at any moment we may see the unicorn."

HAT! (Happy Animal THURSDAY)

I was late with my Animal Wednesday post.....I have a cold and am also just in a bit of a down state.  But, as Mim mentioned there wasn't a creature in sight - I thought I would provide some!

Don't worry, Lo....the video below has 60's Flute Music!

It is bitter cold in San Francisco - we are expecting snow flurries here tonight!  Snow is a rareity at sea level...if it happens, it will be the first time in 30 years!

This one's especially for Emma - AKA "The Squirrel Huntress"!

HAT!  I hope all you East Coast and Midwest Friends enjoyed this!  I will let you know if the flurries really fall!

Love,

♥ Robin ♥

  1. Hi tante robin!

Guess you and antie Lo were right. It was an impostor.........and my Mom was fooled. (so were a lot of others ;))
    But it was fun eh!

Maybe I can help Emma chase away the squirrels? She is outnumbered.

Lovely videos. I would love to play with them........

Hugs from the real prince of Darkness!
    HAT!!!!!!!

  2. haha!! I do love the squirrels, much to my neighbor's chagrin :P

I hope you get at least a flurry. Maybe it's just what you need to shake things up in SF!

  3. i was amazed by the first video. i watch squirrels and in my yard there are plenty but i have never seen tunneling in the snow like this! now i want to witness it myself!

it is snowing again here as i write and for the first time this winter i'm grumbling abit. i am thinking spring. i'll bet the squirrels are too, although i'm sure they don't complain as much as i do ♥

  4. I didnt know squirrels burrowed like that either. very cute. as kj says, we too just a bit north of her are getting snow. it was snowing when i got up at 7 and it is still snowing at 2pm.

I got tired of winter a few weeks ago. enough already. get me to Arizona. Or something.

but for you it would be a miraculous, wonderful event!!! Enjoy.

p.s. i'm usually mad at squirrels for stealing my tomatoes so will enjoy these videos which make them look cute instead of troublesome!

  6. Hope you're feeling a bit brighter Robin. The tunnelling squirrels ... well I'd never have believed it were it not for this clip. Warm hugs from way over here. xx Jos

  7. we had the snow flurries here yesterday! right out in front of our house. first there was hail and then the flakes. i saw them fall, but when i ran outside to touch them, they disappeared within seconds.
i LOVED it, but now today we are back to regular weather, sunny and much warmer.

i hope your feeling better?? spring is on the way and it has to be better than last year! i'm crossing my fingers for both of us!

    xxx

  8. I had no idea squirrels would go into the snow like that! They are rascals, but you can't help but like them.
