The Winter Moon
* Its the sweet sultry taste of Winter on my lips,
the shadow of the pale moonlight on my eyes,
and behind the thin drapes of midnight clouds.
amidst the stars shining bright and clear,
smiles the radiance of the Winter Moon.
If I had seen Heaven, I would admit I had seen it,
hiding shyly behind the curtains of the night,
the Winter Moon at zenith, smiles down at me.
Its this breeze blowing gently,
mixing the scent of the Winter with the Moon,
and I stay awake,
my heart filled to the brim with Love,
appreciating the splendour of the Winter Moon!

Some of you know I have been a very sick Robin for (gasp) almost a month! First the dreaded flu...and now it has morphed into a hellish head/chest cold! I have not had the energy to complete writing my Christmas Cards (which always include a *Christmas Poem*...something that reflects my year...)....so, here is my card and poem... for those of you who did not receive one. I hope you like the poem....and the card. Please know I send my love to you ALL...
Happy Christmas! Happy Holidays! May 2014 bring you a year of health, strength and joy.
Love, always,
♥ Robin ♥
Poor dear Robin. To be sick at the holiday. Big hugs to you. Love the card. Magical. I dont know how you find these beauties. And the poem is wonderful. Have never read it before. And wish I knew how you got the snowflakes. Most likely using tricks beyond my ken. Hugs to you and hope you feel better soon. Love, Suki
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful Robin. I hope you are getting better. Be careful, my granddauspghter had the same thing and it morphed into pneumonia.
ReplyDeleteHugs and more hugs and then Christmas hugs also.
Of all the things I would have shared with you if you were here it certainly would not have been being sick. I myself feel as I used to tell Barry that I need to die to feel better.
ReplyDeleteFor different reasons I was and still sick but the horrible feeling is the same and I wish you never ever ever need the same things I did in hope of getting better. I am spending most of the time in bed as I am so tired that I feel if I close my eyes standing up I probably will hit the floor before I know it.
McKenzie, Aliah and myself just want to wish you the best as always times to the square, a healthy new year filled with happiness, love and all good things to you my dear Robin, and we hope to get a chance to hug you in person in the coming year.
Much love and big -non contagious - hug from us.
I'm so sorry to hear you've been sick dear Robin! Hoping this finds you much better now ~ stay warm and well (perhaps wrapped in fleece in front of a fireplace listening to Wagner!)
ReplyDeleteSending love and best wishes for a happy holiday and a New Year filled with many blessings♡
xoxo
