"This is the violet hour, the hour of hush and wonder, when the affectations glow and valor is reborn, when the shadows deepen along the edge of the forest and we believe that, if we watch carefully, at any moment we may see the unicorn."

New Years Eve

Swans in the Alpsee....the ice had broken up and these two were the first to arrive!

Well, we have almost made it to the end of 2014... as I write this, it is sunny - BUT - the winds are howling...my home is shaking... still, we have power - so I am grateful!

I am happy I decided to reopen my Blog.. and write...to those who still come to visit - you are inspirational to me.  To those who just come by and *peek in* - I hope you enjoy my photos.

I took these during late Winter about 10 years ago when I was at an Opera Festival in Munchen.  I would drive down to a favourite spot (near Fussen) to enjoy a real Bavarian Winter!

I wish you all a healthy and happy 2015!

Love,

♥ Robin ♥

  1. Happy New Year, darling.

Here, we spend the day and the night in bed, MacKenzie, Aliah and I. They slept most of the time, I read. When not sleeping they would try to get under the covers, not because they were cold but because they love to hide under, but much as I adore them and given them free rain everywhere, no in my bed. They are allowed to jump and snuggle and I have, oh probably forty times to remind you that their side is at the foot of the bed. I know, trying to teach a pig how to sing :)

I hope you get a chance to come up the road and visit. It would be great for you to see the garden before I sell the house. I waited two years since Barry died and the house is so big, so silent, so empty that I realized recently that I need to move. And so I will this Spring, But not before Albertine is in bloom.

I miss our chats, and hope you are doing fine and look forward to your posts to keep up with you. Much love, as always.

  2. Where oh where is Robin. You are missed. If nothing else, maybe you can do a regular end of year check-in. Better yet, why not go back to posting.

    I enjoyed the snowflakes.

  9. As I've understood now you don't want to write your blog anymore? It's a pity cause I really liked reading it. By the way, if you'd like to get paid for your writing, you may try to become one of best essay writers online.
