"This is the violet hour, the hour of hush and wonder, when the affectations glow and valor is reborn, when the shadows deepen along the edge of the forest and we believe that, if we watch carefully, at any moment we may see the unicorn."

'Intruder '

Not the Raven, but me!
I was hiking through the Presidio, enjoying the day, when I came across this big fellow, sitting atop a little wooden bridge, surveying his "kingdom"....he was NOT happy to see me and caw-caw-cawed his displeasure - but stayed still long enough for me to snap this with my cell phone. I am afraid my phone camera did not do him justice. Still, I know there are several other Raven-lovers out there, besides myself.... so I hope you enjoy the shot.
Love to all,
♥ Robin ♥

  1. Any shot of a raven will do for me :-). Quick thinking as they always fly away the second I get my camera out :-).

  2. ~Love~ them beautiful messengers that they are <3

  3. Wait untill Lolo sees this!
What a great picture for a cell phone shot!

    Have a nice day!!!!!

  4. I had to enlarge it to see the wonderful, violet glisten of feathers! He's a beauty ;)
They don't share their space easily though, do they?

  5. wow, you've picked up some great followers, robin: you are a woman of excellent taste :)

i'm still tickled i was first!

i have never been so aware of my surroundings as i have since i began blogging. birds, flowers, continents, paintings, and flying hearts.

    yay for it all.

  6. Ah, the Presidio. I'm afraid I only know it from the film "Vertigo". Thanks for stopping by my blog. Yes, I love-love opera!
