"This is the violet hour, the hour of hush and wonder, when the affectations glow and valor is reborn, when the shadows deepen along the edge of the forest and we believe that, if we watch carefully, at any moment we may see the unicorn."

Spring Morning at the de Young

I promise this will not be an all trees/flowers blog....but I had to photograph these beauties! I am a volunteer at San Francisco's de Young Museum and this morning, discovered these just outside the main entrance to the museum. Does anyone know what they are called?
I l♥ve them!

Hugs to all,

♥ Robin ♥

  4. Welcome to Blogland Robin. I've popped over from Annie Coe's.

Gorgeous flowers. I was going to say lupins but they have a palmate foliage so now I'm not so sure.

  5. Mim and Melanie, thank you both for the warm welcome!

Mim, I will "stash" those points for a "rainy day".

    KJ...thank you m'dear! Lupines....or Lupins,
(from Melanie)- they are wonderful blooms - and sort of ironic as the street I live on segues into a Lupine Street.... I always thought it was Wolf-related! Ha-ha! ♥

    L♥ve you, Anne!
