Ay-yi-yi-eeda Update!


No Opera posts from me for week or so....but, our season is rolling along.....now juggling three very different operas ....."Aida", "Werther" and "The Marriage of Figaro".  Here are a few of those "backstage Aida glimpses" of some of our cast - as you would NOT see them if you were sitting in the audience, watching a performance,  Hope you enjoy these!

This last one is the entire Chorus (and our Chorus Master) practicing their Curtain Call.  (Mind you, this does NOT include the Principal Singers nor the 100 + Orchestra...)

  6. Annie...glad you returned to see the Raven and Pig, - it is adorable! But also glad you saw some of our "Egyptian Chorus"....I haven't had the opportunity to photohraph the "Ethopians" yet....wait till you see their costumes!

  7. Melanie....yes....all the sets and costumes for this production were designed by Zandra Rhodes.... the pink-haired, iconoclastic fashion designer.... if you go back a week or so in my blog, I have some "captured" photos of the sets....they are whimiscal and marvelous!

  9. Suki.... my dear friend....yes, absolutely, I will send a pot of that turquoise eyeshadow your way.....isn't it the coolest! The guys are all having a blast with it.... and it stays on really well...through over 4 hours - on the stage with those hot lights blasting them!

    The shadow will be just right for a "Fabulous Flapper" like YOU! 23-Skidoo!
