"This is the violet hour, the hour of hush and wonder, when the affectations glow and valor is reborn, when the shadows deepen along the edge of the forest and we believe that, if we watch carefully, at any moment we may see the unicorn."

Animal Wednesday - It's ALL About Opera...and Animals of Course!

Next week.....Opera rehearsals begin for our "Ring"....  do you think I am a teensy weensy excited?  No?
A-ha-ha-ha!

Anyway, here is a Non-Wagnerian Operatic Animal Wednesday (or: NWOAW) post!  Even if you are completely unfamaliar with Opera...most of you will recognise this famous musical duet "The Flower Duet" from "Lakmé" by Leo Delibes.  I love this version....and I think Monsieur Delibes would too.

HAW!

Love,

♥ Robin ♥

  11. One of my all time favorites. Like you. I used to have this taped in a casette inside an old alarm clock and I used to wake up to this gorgeous piece. From now on instead of remembering my alarm clock I will think of you when I hear it, I promise.

Slowly coming back among the living, the weather is frightful, rain, rain, rain, upper 50s maybe into a very low 60F. I cannot believe this is May. We are going to be plagued with blackspot and this year the roses are nothing short of magnificent. But of course no flowers yet, everything is late. The muguet is shivering under its broad leaves and Lady Banks bloomed only to faint at the weather.

Sending you much love and sharing your excitement about next week, if only vicariously.
