"This is the violet hour, the hour of hush and wonder, when the affectations glow and valor is reborn, when the shadows deepen along the edge of the forest and we believe that, if we watch carefully, at any moment we may see the unicorn."
Late again....but it has been one of *those * weeks... I did come across an interview with a young Italian Bass-Baritone, Luca Pisaroni by way of a wonderful Opera Blog based out of Milan...titled "Opera Chic"... Interesting for me to read about Signore Pisaroni, as he has sung with SF Opera a few times...but, what is more interesting to me and to you, my fellow "AW" members, is that he travels every where with his two dogs - a Golden Retriever named Lenny and a miniature Dachsund, Tristan. Luca and his wife even have a FB page about their doggies.... love this photo it made me smile!
Ahhh isn't that sweet!!!!! Sjimmie once went into my suitcase and peed on my mandala book! I found out on my destination! Since then I keep my suitcase closed;)
What a wonderful AW post!!!! being busy here all the time, touch kitchen......
Cris.... I am NOT surprised that Annie is always ready for an adventure! She has that same look in her eye - "Let's Go"! Soon, she will be ready to go, go, go.....just not so much leaping!
I loved that Sjimmie story....isn't is just like the "PoD"!!!!
I know you are BUSY with all if this remodeling and dusting! Yes, *touch kitchen, touch bath and touch kitchen again*! Thinking of you and sending everyone many hugs and much love,
There is no mistaking the real passion you have for opera Robin and I so enjoyed reading your account of The Heart of a Soldier. You know you have a real talent for narrative writing, I was caught up and carried along by your words and the imagining of the scenes as you described them ... you are a natural story teller. Just lovely to pop by and visit, as always with apologies for my many and lengthy absences just now. Warmest hugs xx Jos
Josssssssssie! Ah, sorry, I have been remiss in keeping in touch! But, seeing you here has been wonderful! Thank you for your sweet words....we are both going through difficult times - emotionally - I am grateful you understand. Life has been particularly difficult these past two years....Opera and Blogging Friends have kept me afloat! *Heart of a Soldier* was an unexpected high.... and how lovely when something like this comes along. E-mail me and give me an update on YOU!
My Ex has our dog...(he's 10 years old now)....I miss him....I so wish I could have a pet - but, alas, I live in a building where the owner doesn't allow any pets. I hope one day, I will be able to.....
oh my gosh that is precious! you mean they let him through customs with those two pooches? i would have thought that a no-go in a post 9/11 world.... go u.s. immigration!
A lover of all of life's beauties - music, poetry, nature, animals, the ever-changing moon, the smell of jasmine at twilight. Thunder and lightning in the Summertime. The smell of Pinon after the rain. Running through crisp, multi-coloured Autumn leaves with my favourite Chocolate Lab, Walking in the first snowfall of Winter and tasting snow on my tongue. Believing in the power of love - no matter what...
Oh so adorable!! Makes me smile also.
