Animal Wednesday - Mimi - the *real* Blue Dog!

 I am just back from visiting a dear, dear friend, Joyce, and her wonderful dog, Mimi!  Mimi is a Border Collie/Healer and bears a remarkable resemblance to the *Blue Dog*!

(Mimi IS named after the heroine in Puccini's *La Boheme*)

I had a wonderful, warm, sunny three days in Santa Rosa (about two hours north of SF).  And....though the leaves were not turning much when I visited Lo, KJ and Mim a few weeks ago, I did see some gorgeous colour in Santa Rosa!



Joyce and Mimi, thank you so much for a wonderful time!!!!!  I already miss you both !

    aww robin, i am so glad you had a wonderful time. mimi is definitely the model for her very own painting! she is very beautiful, soulful, i think.

    Oh I can see the Border Collie in the face and the coloring. Annie has that same look in the face. Great photos of fall colors too. Mimi is a cutie. Nice to get away for a visit.

    I'm glad you posted photos of them both. I love that area and I'm glad you had some sunny, autumn days with two good friends.

    That is one gorgeous doggie and I love the painting. and your friend Mimi looks lovely.

    Funny story. My mom wanted to name me Mimi (after that very same heroine and pronounced MeeMee - right) but she was afraid that people would call me Mimee, with the emphasis on the MIM.

    And now here I am.....can't escape fate can you
