Animal Wednesday - Yellow

Time for my fourth post on Colours....  and yes...there's an *Animal* included - so I can post today!  I am glad I took these photos last week when the weather was sunny and glorious...today, after our one day *Storm*, the fog is THICK, Misty....  anyway, here we go..... I'll start with a Yellow Finch.. these little fellows willingly posed for me!  They have the sweetest voices!

You never know where you will find a particular colour!

The Sun peeking through the trees...

I had just arrived home....and saw these boots in a truck next to my home.....  perfect!

I know.....it's *trashy*....but, it is yellow!  (I collected it and deposited it in a trash bin - shame on the person who just dropped it in the Presidio!)

Beautiful homes.....

I hoped to find a yellow car - and - VOILA!

And...last, here's Cooper, the singing (and very yellow) Canary!

HAW!!!!!

Love,

Robin

  1. What a lovely yellow post! Color of the spring and creativity!
That canary singing is cute. My grandma used to have canaries!
Those ginkgo leaves are great and so are the finch, we have them here also but not the yellow ones. Mine (how about that , as if they are mine) are with a touch of pink/red.....

    HAW!!!!
    May it soon be spring!

  3. Next to Pink I love Yellow the best. Some of our walls are yellow. Its a happy color. Love this post. oh and if asked what I remember most about my Maternal Grandmother..I would have to say the singing Canary's she always had. She LOVED them. So when I hear or see one I immediately think of her. :)

    1. Ah, Suki...I know...not too many people can wear *Yellow*...I have a few sweaters that are REALLY PALE Yellow....that those seem to be ok...

I adored those Ginko leaves....they just cried out to be photographed!

You COULD go out and find colours to photograph.....especially in six weeks or so..... of course, you could do a series on Browns and/or Greens! (I intend to do one on every colour - even Black and White!)

    1. Suki, Hooray! I'm glad someone listened to my litle poem and February Wish. I learned how to do that from Vicki (aka Nollyposh)...a wonderful girl from Australia, who sadly died in November. Next time we talk, I will walk you through how to do it!

    1. Dear CS,
I just HATE litter....particularly in beautiful bucolic scenes...I am always picking up trash and carrying off to it's *rightful home*... sometimes people are so lazy! (Still, I got a good shot from it!)

  14. I grew up with border canaries singing non-stop and it was heavenly. As an adult having always around some feline, I decided not to get any birds, beside, I hate now the idea of a bird in a cage. But yellow...I am told that because I am a Leo I should wear yellow. I love yellow but I would never wear it. At least I have yet to find the yellow I could wear. And that yellow wrapper says so much about your lovely self...

Hugs from here, hope to see you soon.

    1. Hello m' dear Allegra... I just KNEW it in my heart that you grew up with Songbirds close by. I feel as you do regarding birds in cages....but little Cooper looked pretty happy...

I think you COULD wear a pale yellow....

We are alike in so many ways....I know you would have picked that wrapper up too....

Yes....hoping we will finally meet in the Spring!

Love to you, B. Loved and the Furry Kids!
