Simple Gifts on Animal Wednesday

I thought I would share these photos of some of my Furry Ferals enjoying their new *Kitty Beds*.  My neighbour and I bought these so our Furballs could have some shelter since the owner of out building had all the shrubbery ripped out of the back yard...  (and this is where they love to sleep)...

No news on my house...the *invaders* have stopped - at least for now - and the building is listed on the webpage as *Sale Pending*....so the waiting continues.

Mr. Orange, Sterling and Smoke (in the other bed)

Sterling (can you tell by his glassy eyes he just had some catnip)?  And Smoke (in the back).

But, I have learned something from these cats....their world has been turned upside down...but they make the best of it... they are adapting, they are surviving... and this is what I also must do.

It's really the *simple things* in life that matter most... love, friendship, shelter and food...

I wish you all a Blessed Thanksgiving.  May you be surrounded with loving family and/or friends (two or four legged).

Love,

♥ Robin ♥

  1. Hey you never know what good might come of all this... maybe the new owners will be better ones. How sweet to give them new beds. I was going to do an animal Wednesday post but I fell down my sun room stairs last week and don't have much to share right now. I am OK but it hurts big time to walk to get more pix. I do have to tell you something before I tell it on my blog tho.. Knight is no longer with our neighbors. They had to find a new home for him last week as he got VERY mean. He was the biggest and started attacking EVERYONE with his claws flying at them as well as his beak.. them included, and Jill was worried about the kids. The other three ducks seem happier actually. He just became a big macho bully. A shame actually but they say Muscovy males can get that way with females around. HAW

    1. Cris....I hope you are feeling better by now...that must have hurt - thank goodness you didn't break anything!

Awww....I will really miss Knight...he was so gorgeous! But this seems to be a common trait amongst Males in the Animal World....it's one of the reasons Galahad and his brothers were shipped out of State...Blue Boy (the Father) would have soon begun to attack the males.. I'm glad Knight has a good home...where he can be *King*!

      Love to all,

p.s. Thank you for the encouraging words regarding my home.... the waiting is very hard though...it's like living with a Guillotine suspended right over your neck....

  2. Lessons come from anywhere and it is a good one. I am adapting to winter because I have to and that will make sunny Arizona more appreciated. Cris is right, maybe the new owners will be even better. Younarentaking such good care of the kitties and that kindness will be rewarded.

    Hugs and happy thanksgiving.

    1. Teri....it's the truth.... we do learn so much as our lives progress... I think about your and your DH spending Winter in WI...but, when you see those Mountains nearing as you finally approach AZ...and feel the desert sun....it will be so heavenly!

The Kitties are doing well...no rain for a few days....and yesterday, they had EXTRA food so they participated in Thanksgiving too! A-ha-ha!

Love to you and your DH,

  3. I am sorry that you have yet more upheaval on the horizon. I hope you are coping OK. Life isn't easy but it is still good. I like that you are seeing how your feral furries are adapting, they look like they are doing pretty well ... in no small part because of your loving care.

Happy Thanksgiving Robin. I hope you are keeping well in yourself. Warmest hugs as ever xx Jos

  7. oh Robin - I hope the new year brings peace and tranquility. I have my fingers crossed for you.

I showed your last post to mom this week and she loved it. I also spend alot of time with members of the board of directors of Vero Beach Opera - they are very proud of their opera house. it was all a bit much for me....

  8. Yours is the only blog I have ventured to because I am not up to reading anything - although I think of everyone with much love - and that was because of your comment on mine.

Dearest Robin, think of this as a nasty rock in the path to happiness. Maybe the new owners will be gentle people, instead of greedy ones and the door that is closing will give way to a big portal where the light will shine and you and your furry ones won't have to fear someone who "rips" not just the plants but the home to those kitties.

You can always come to Oregon...

Much love and I hope the news would be nothing less than comforting and better than good.

    1. oh Allegra.... to see you visiting me....it's just like you gave me a hug and energy boost!!!!

I am hoping when the news about the sale comes, it will be for the better - for me, my wonderful neighbour and of course, for my beloved Furry Ones. I AM stronger now....the Kitties are my inspiration....
Loving friends - like YOU - are my strength.

      Oregon? Hmmmm..who knows....

Sending you SO MANY HUGS and a BIG KISS. You (And B. Loved)....remain a big part of my prayers and my life - especially whenever I see beauty and true love.

      Always, Always......with Love,
