"This is the violet hour, the hour of hush and wonder, when the affectations glow and valor is reborn, when the shadows deepen along the edge of the forest and we believe that, if we watch carefully, at any moment we may see the unicorn."

June Potpourri

Day and Night now...  sigh..

Adore this Swan Tunnel in Japan!

The *Mini-Winter* has begun!  BUT, I am going to stay upbeat, optimistic and as happy as I can under *eternally Grey skies*! Posting some colourful photos from May!

I am leaving for New Mexico in two weeks.... ah...cannot wait.

In the meanwhile, here are some BRIGHT photos to make the change into June...

Then. soon....off to Santa Fe.... Opera, High Desert Magic and....Margaritas!

Last June, Chris took this of me at the Santa Fe Opera House after a rehearsal.

  3. Hello, dear Twin! So lovely to hear from you.. I have been remiss in visiting your Blog... but, I am slowly returning to life! Ah...I adore *Magic Flute*...it was this opera that made me see (at long last) how wonderful Mr. Mozart was!

While in Santa Fe, I will see *Carmen*...(yawn)..*Don Pasquale* (which I have never seen before), Two shorties by Mozart and Stravinsky, *The Impressario* and *Le Rossingnol*..also never seen before..so, quite exciting to see something *new*!

Let me know how you enjoy *Flute*!

    Love,

    ♥ Robin ♥

p.s. Re-re-reading our book *The Magus*... ah...nothing ever quite like it! Love to all, and a kiss to Mia! ♥♥

  4. Flute was a treat - the coloratura's voice was lovely but a bit thin (it's perhaps not nice to compare, but my husband and I subsequently listened to the Queen of the Night's aria with Diana Damrau at Covent Garden that blew us away.)

    Enjoy Santa Fe!

(Re-reading The Magus sounds like a wonderful thing to do this summer :))

    1. Diana Damrau! You have heard one of THE BEST! Yes, hard for anyone to live up to her! But, still, I always say it is better to hear live Opera than a perfect CD or DVD!

      Love to you, dear Twin,

  6. Beautiful photographs. You sound happy right now.
Why am I visiting your blog, I hear you whisper. Well, my younger brother has died today and I was revisiting some old blogs that I used to love, one of which was Vicki, (NollyPosh as she called it). I was so very sad when Vicki "went home". I read some of her posts again tonight and saw some of your lovely comments again. So, just felt like saying 'Hi Robin. How is life treating you' ... quite nicely it seems.
    Cheers, Phil
