"This is the violet hour, the hour of hush and wonder, when the affectations glow and valor is reborn, when the shadows deepen along the edge of the forest and we believe that, if we watch carefully, at any moment we may see the unicorn."

A Special Day

Today marks the 54th Birthday of a remarkable woman - Renee Khan. I believe most of you who venture by my blog knew her - or knew of her. She is (and I will not use past tense) the embodiment of warmth, strength, grace and love....
It is symbolically apt that she was born close to Easter and to Springtime - seasons of renewal and rebirth.
Her spirit continues to soar above us - looking after us all - sending us courage to perservere, to LIVE and most importantly - to LOVE.
Renee, we miss you so much - but now look for you in everything wonderful and beautiful.
And, as you can see, I did finally begin my blog. Thank you for your encouragement.
Happy Birthday, dear Renee.
Love,
♥ Robin ♥

  3. Hello friend of Renee! Ever so happy to meet you! I like the symbolism in Renee passing so close to Easter...years ago the visionaries in Medjugorje said they were told by Mother Mary that more souls cross into heaven on Easter than any other Holy day. I've always loved that image. Of course, Renee did her purgatory here on earth. Ah yes, Happy first birthday home, Renee. We will never forget her lesson. **blows kisses** Deb

  5. Anne, yes,..Renee is happy - and she is soaring high!

Soulbrush - I feel her daily and see her spirit in so many beautiful things around me.
We were all so blessed to have known her.

Deb - how nice to meet you! Thank you for stopping by.... yes, Renee did indeed face her purgatory - like a brave warrior-maid....she was amazing... and has left her imprint on all of our hearts.

KJ, m'dear....you KNOW I would not have this blog if it were not for Renee, YOU and Annie's prodding me.... I hears Renee's "har-har" when I posted my first time! What a Senior Angel we have looking out for us!

    Love you all!

  6. Your words are perfect Robin. I couldn't have said it better and I agree with every word.

Yesterday I was looking for some seed packets that I knew I had tucked away somewhere. I was surprised at how many I had, but what really struck me is that the brand was "Renee's Garden." She is everywhere! And I feel comforted by that ;)

    love,
