"This is the violet hour, the hour of hush and wonder, when the affectations glow and valor is reborn, when the shadows deepen along the edge of the forest and we believe that, if we watch carefully, at any moment we may see the unicorn."
My friend Britt-Arnild once did a post on *Colours*.....it was fun to play along, so I thought I would do a post from time-to-time concentrating on just one colour. A precursor to Winter's soft colours.....on a walk last week, I photographed all things Orange...
These mushrooms were actually quite ORANGE....(guess they should not be eaten)!
Last.....but certainly not least.......Mr. Orange!
I'm off to Santa Rosa to spend a few days with my friend Joyce and the wonderful Mimi! I hope you all have a great weekend!
Orange has always been my favourite colour. It is a colour and an object which to my 3 year old mind was an amazing thing ... not so much to my 48 year old mind but there is still an echo of that amazement even so.
I had to get my glasses to double check because it looked at first glance like that pumpkin was in free fall!
Hope you have a lovely weekend Robin. Warmest hugs xx Jos
What could be more perfect here than Mr. Orange?! The other pictures are great as well. We enjoyed our last evening here. Tomorrow we will do the botanical garden and will fly home in the evening . We had a great time. <3 M & F
Oh Santa Rosa with friends! what could be more lovely in a winter weekend? Enjoy it darling and come visit soon. Orange is one of my favorite colors too, the warmth of the red and the sunny disposition of the yellow, actually this winter I am wearing more orange than ever before and not because of the fashion push. It is because I am learning to fight grey with orange!
Robin, I need your email address rather than your mailing address, Sweetie. I'm so sorry I didn't make that clear in my comment on Nollyposh's blog when I offered to send the Order of Service. What I have is a forwarded copy rather than a hard copy. I can print it out and send you a hard copy if that's what you prefer.
A lover of all of life's beauties - music, poetry, nature, animals, the ever-changing moon, the smell of jasmine at twilight. Thunder and lightning in the Summertime. The smell of Pinon after the rain. Running through crisp, multi-coloured Autumn leaves with my favourite Chocolate Lab, Walking in the first snowfall of Winter and tasting snow on my tongue. Believing in the power of love - no matter what...
Orange to me is always uplifting and full of surprise!
