"This is the violet hour, the hour of hush and wonder, when the affectations glow and valor is reborn, when the shadows deepen along the edge of the forest and we believe that, if we watch carefully, at any moment we may see the unicorn."
We have had the sunniest, driest December and first two weeks of January in over 70 years! Although I know how much California NEEDS rain.....(animals, trees, plants, crops..... are all yearning for water)...I am enjoying the mild weather - especially as it makes it easier for me to do my errands, take short walks etc. (My knee is still painful....)
My Furry Ferals are also reveling in the warm sun! Here are (from top to bottom):
We seem to be getting your rain here in SW IN. It is raining today and is to rain tomorrow too. It might even turn to snow tonight. That would be fun. Your kitties are cute all lined up on the stairway. HAW.
Love the shadows on the stairs.. Great shot. We too are below average for rain here and I am enjoying it. Guess I shouldnt but I am. :)) We might change patterns tho next week with more coming in and possibly snow on the lower elevations.. but I think I will go out and enjoy the lovely sunshine right now. :))
lucky you with the wonderful weather. we had snow here this morning though not a lot so far, however many schools are closed. i use that as a measure as to how serious the weather is.
well Mr. Orange is certainly a look alike for Lo's Mr.Biff!!!!! Love this picture sure Lo will too! Couldn't comment in Rotterdam but enjoyed the picture there already :) Happy Late Animal Wednesday! ♥M
Oh geez I'm late making the rounds.... Love the photo of all the kitties basking in the sun. (which I wish I had....instead of snow, wind and flipping COLD temps!) I think we could go on record for the wettest winter, mostly rain, and yes, I'd send some your way if I could. Take care of that leg FBBBFF!!!
A lover of all of life's beauties - music, poetry, nature, animals, the ever-changing moon, the smell of jasmine at twilight. Thunder and lightning in the Summertime. The smell of Pinon after the rain. Running through crisp, multi-coloured Autumn leaves with my favourite Chocolate Lab, Walking in the first snowfall of Winter and tasting snow on my tongue. Believing in the power of love - no matter what...
