I was thrilled to see this gorgeous Rainbow in the East! I did not enhance the colours. |
At the same time, looking towards the North - and the Golden Gate - more storm clouds on the horizon! |

Hi *Twin*...I am happy you heard *my* Mocker! I adore him so.....even at 3:00 a.m. He can carry on singing for HOURS! I don't know how such a smallish bird can do it. (But I am glad.)

This is a quote from a book I recently read:
ReplyDelete"This land, like so much of the French countryside, was a painting, but Mercier felt his heart touched with melancholy and realized, not for the first time, that beautiful places were hard on lonely people"
Tra-la-la, twiddly-dee-dee, It gives me a thrill
ReplyDeleteTo wake up in the morning to the mockingbirs's trill
...
Then my heart fills with gladness when I hear the trill
Of the bird in the treetops on Mokin' Bird Hill.
Or
I'm dreaming now of Hally, sweet Hally, sweet Hally
...
And the mockingbird singing where she lies.
Listen to the mockingbird, listen to the mockingbird,
...
Still singing where the weeping willow wave.
An amazing creature!!
