"This is the violet hour, the hour of hush and wonder, when the affectations glow and valor is reborn, when the shadows deepen along the edge of the forest and we believe that, if we watch carefully, at any moment we may see the unicorn."

Over the Rainbow...

We are having the first dose of *April Showers*!  The weekend was extraordinary....  Rain, Sun,  Clouds and......for those of us in San Francisco, a rarity.......

I was thrilled to see this gorgeous Rainbow in the East!  I did not enhance the colours.

At the same time, looking towards the North - and the Golden Gate - more storm clouds on the horizon!

Finally, to the West, the Sun emerged from the clouds and glowed as  it set into the Pacific..

May April bring you all the glories of Spring.

Love,

♥ Robin ♥

P.S.  My FIRST April Surprise - (but NOT an April Fool's Joke)...*MY* Mockingbird chose today to return!  I am truly looking forward to those 3:00 a.m. *Concerts*!

I shot this video last year...but you can clearly hear *Mr. Mocker* singing away accompanied by Fog Horns!

    1. Hi *Twin*...I am happy you heard *my* Mocker! I adore him so.....even at 3:00 a.m. He can carry on singing for HOURS! I don't know how such a smallish bird can do it. (But I am glad.)

  6. This is a quote from a book I recently read:
"This land, like so much of the French countryside, was a painting, but Mercier felt his heart touched with melancholy and realized, not for the first time, that beautiful places were hard on lonely people"

  7. Tra-la-la, twiddly-dee-dee, It gives me a thrill
To wake up in the morning to the mockingbirs's trill
    ...
Then my heart fills with gladness when I hear the trill
Of the bird in the treetops on Mokin' Bird Hill.

    Or

I'm dreaming now of Hally, sweet Hally, sweet Hally
    ...
And the mockingbird singing where she lies.
Listen to the mockingbird, listen to the mockingbird,
    ...
Still singing where the weeping willow wave.

    An amazing creature!!
