Spring in January?

Yesterday, was a glorious Spring-like day!  January is usually a cold and rainy month in the Bay Area.....  but, we have had a few days of sunshine and mild temps.....  as I was hiking, I saw that Mother Nature, herself is confused.  Cherry Blossoms beginning to bloom..... three months early.

It felt wonderful to walk in the sunshine, no wind, just the blue sky, the
oh-so-happy Birds and the flowers, opening up and reaching out towards the Sun!
The down-side to an early Spring is that the rain WILL return...and a lot of the lovely blossoms will be scattered well before their time....  still, it looks and feels wonderful. And..to all my beloved friends in the Midwest and Northeast, I hope these photos will add a spot of warmth and brightness to your day!

Love,

♥ Robin ♥

  1. Hi Robin! I wish I was there, walking in the sunshine. :) I have about a foot of snow outside, which is very pretty, too. Blogger wouldn't let me visit you for awhile. He (it has to be a He don't you think?) said your blog didn't exist. Finally he decided you do! Sending you a snow cone from Merryland! xoxox Pam

  3. I remember living there and seeing the cherry trees and irises up and out in February! Even after 16 years it was odd to me, but oh so wonderful!!

I'm glad you had some sunshine therapy. Oh what a year you're having my dear.

Thanks for the pretty pics. I had to be "dug out" by a neighbor this afternoon because our plow guy couldn't do much until a car was moved.

Oh, New England! I do love the seasons though, truly.

    Love you LS!
    We'll talk soon♥

  5. Ah, Pam, I missed you! And...yes, absolutely - "Blogger" MUST be a "He"! Ha-ha! I know it looks gorgeous in the East.... I enjoyed our few days of sunny, unseasonably warm weather (the fog is BAAACK this morning and rain returns on Sunday).....but, I miss not experiencing snow...this is my second Winter not spending time in NY.....

But, thanks for the snow cone! Yummy!

  9. Wonderful pictures I am happy the sun is shining for you dear. hope mother nature won't get too confused.
Here we sometimes have a glimpse of spring and then frost that is no good for the blossoms and poor birds too. Thank goodness we have a calendar and won't get surprised by rain and cold returning.
The days are getting longer here. I notice it and love it!
Today I will spend designing mandalas.
Hope you are doing ok dear and that the sun is still shining and the moon is there for you at night ♥

    Have a nice Sunday ♥

  10. Just a little stop to let you know that your visits make my heart smile with love and friendship. I am getting up a bit every day and maybe tomorrow I will get out if the sun shines. When it does not, you make me feel warm with your dear notes so I just came to say I love you. I do.
