I found this adorable video of Menino, the Parrot, singing the "Queen of the Night" Aria from Mozart's "Die Zauberflaute" - or - "The Magic Flute". It's one of the most difficult arias a Soprano (or a Parrot) can sing....and I thought he did an excellent job!
Bravo, Menino! Enjoy everyone!

This made me smile! my mom was an opera singer and my brothers parrot used to imitate her - it was hysterical!!!
ReplyDeleteMim, how wonderful your Mother sang opera! And, how great (and funny) that your brother's parrot wanted to "sing" too! Animals (furry and feathered) are so amazing!

ReplyDeleteby the way, my friend old pajamas introducted me to Werner Herzog and i have in the last few years seen many of his movies. amazing.
KJ, I thought you would have a chuckle when you heard Menino!
ReplyDeleteMarianne,I hope your trip is going smoothly and that you weather is bright and warm!
I am feeling much better!
Suki - so nice you "found" me! I am glad you came to visit. I think I am liking "OP" more every day...he writes wonderfully, he plays baseball and...he likes Werner Herzog! I just "discovered" Werner's films last year and was immediately "hooked". I saw him direct the best "Lohengrin" ever - in Bayreuth, Germany, several years ago..... I knew then he was something special.
♥ Love to All ♥
Robin
