Emily in the Night Sky.....for Suki

I felt compelled to honour Suki's beloved Emily in some small way. You all know that music is my forte....not art....but, I thought I would create a little painting for our Suki. And, I have to tell you that I was able to do this thanks to the generosity of Soulbrush's heart and spirit. She sent me a huge parcel filled with paint, chalk, pens, pencils, brushes and ATC cards and told me to "get going and start creating". And so I have.

Suki, dear one, please accept this little painting (my first since I was six) in tribute to the beautiful Emily. I envision her in the Night Sky, smiling down at you and Bibs, as the Full Moon shines upon you all. Emily lives on in your heart (and Bib's heart) forever.
Love,
♥ Robin ♥

  9. Jossie, my MUSE.... I would have NEVER had the courage to put a drawing on paper....most of my life, I have sung or acted or written.... I AM passionate about painting.....but just gave up on it....so....you, sweet and spicy one....have pushed me to go on with my life and give it a try.... one day, be it in London or San Francisco, we WILL meet and I will take you to a wonderful dinner... and that STILL will not be enough....

    Love, always,

  12. Isn't Joss just the bees knees?? I love that she inspired you Robin, and I think your painting is really good. So many people under-estimate the effects of losing a beloved pet. Bless your heart, not you though.

Did I tell you how I've been getting on with Wagner? I have listened to The Ring Cycle and have moved on (thankfully my mum has a good sized opera collection) to Tristan und Isolde, which I am enjoying immensely.

You pointed me in the right direction Robin. I never could resist genuine enthusiasm and yours just shines right out to me. Thank you. xx Jos

  13. Pam..... thank you for your kind words about my "fledgling" art.... it definitely was created out of love....and after all, that's what it's all about, right?

    Hugs,

  14. Dear Jos, you are SO RIGHT! Jossie IS the "Bees Knees"....(although that sounds so grammatically incorrect)! I do understand that losing a pet is like losing a child to many... and Emily was such a beauty...

OMG.....do you realise how HAPPY you have made me by relating your "Wagner" tales? If my enthusiasm has played any little part in your entering Wagner's wonderful world of love and life, then I can exhale and feel I have done something worthwhile....your Mum is quite a woman to have all these Operas....and you - as gifted and artistic as you are....it's HUGE!

You must also listen to "Die Meistersinger".....a "comic" - though bittersweet opera....one of his best....

I am hugging you for "getting it"....

    Love,

    ♥ Robin ♥

  15. Oh brill ... I will ask my mum if she has Die Meistersinger when she returns from her hols. She is totally amazed at my new found enthusiasm for what she terms "real opera". I think perhaps I just needed to cut my teeth on the lighter Italian stuff ... an aperitif perhaps.

Hugs to you too Robin. xx Jos

  16. O so sweet!!!!
What a lovely tribute you made for Suki's cat!

And what a great idea of Suki to send you these things.
Yes girl, start creating. I am sure there is an artist in you!
I love the crow you have created for Lo as well!
You just have to find your way in it...... once you find out that there will be no stopping you.
Just let me know when you are ready to trade!
