Animal Wednesday - Geese on Ice
This is a funny video....not so much for the Geese "skating" on the ice....but for the commentary of the couple recording it. I especially like the man's calling out in a deep, booming voice - the "names" of the Geese! Hysterical!
HAW to all!
Love,
♥ Robin ♥

ReplyDeletehahahaha! the woman narrating taxed my patience, robin, so i was glad when the guy's two cents got added in!

guess
Are there no female geese?? The feeding of bread to the geese reminds me of the time on Cape Cod when Aaron and I were doing the same near our house and a man came out an lambasted us good. Feeding encourages the geese to return to the pond and then they defecated in the pond and cause something or other to infest the pond. I forget what now.
ReplyDeleteI wrote a short short story around the incident, fictional. It was published in an obscure literary magazine. who reads those??
Then one day Aaron said I'd gotten a phone call from a man in San Francisco! I returned the call and this man had read my story in the obscure magazine and wanted to republish it in one or more sunday magazines in newspapers. He acted as an agent for this. I think only one suppliment published it. He paid me too. Of course literary magazines rarely pay you for stories so that was fun.
Burr.. I was cold watching them. Yeah where are the female names?? LOL
ReplyDeleteDid he say C'mon ducks? haha. i like canadian geese, always fun to watch.
ReplyDeletehaw Robin!
♥
Despite everyone elses sentiment about them, I enjoy Canada geese, love their waddling about. Lovely video Robin - and chilly looking
ReplyDeleteGeorge ... sounds like a decent solid name for a goose don-cha think? For some reason Canadian geese are considered a pest in England. But I like them, I like the way they honk rather than the more genteel quacking of ducks.
ReplyDeleteRobin, thanks so much for the really lovely comments on my blog lately. Your encouuragement has been just stupendous. I really do appreciate that you take the time to read and comment so lovingly. Means a lot to me.
Only 2 weeks until The Magic Flute!!! I have decided to make it more of an occasion by dressing up. I almost never dress up as I am not a girlie girl ... or at least not usually. Lucky for me my sister is so I shall raid her wardrobe and do my mother proud.
Thanks again Robin, now if KJ is right then this little heart thing should appear ... &hearts <-- there ... hmmm not sure it works until I press "Post Comment" so I'll trust to luck (and that I remembered right! Love and hugs xx Jos
Aha!!! turns out the semi-colon is required, I thought it was incidental. Duh.
