Two Blondes in the City by the Bay

 Here is Marianne, looking unbelievably fresh after an 11 hour flight from Amsterdam to San Francisco!



Of course, being Marianne, she came with wonderful gifts!


This gorgeous scarf for my handbag - from Hermes!






And this beautiful silk jewelry pouch from China....  gee, how did she know LILAC is my favourite colour?





We dashed off to do some SHOPPING!  After a bit, it was time to stop for a cocktail!  (A Ginger Manhattan and Pomegranate Martini!  Yummy!)










The last time we were here, it was raining...so it was especially lovely to sit, bathed in Sunlight!

Then, time for more Shopping!  Then dinner at a favourite Thai Restaurant.  (See Marianne's Blog for photos.) 

The next morning....time for breakfast..



Then, a quick trek to the Post Office to mail a package of Licorice to a *certain someone*.....it was heavy!!!!!






Whew!  Then, it was time to say *Au Revoir*.....Marianne had a flight home to catch and I was off to another Opera Rehearsal.  Life is so amazing....how wonderful that our Blogs have enabled us to make such beautiful and meaningful friendships!


Marianne....I miss you already...but I know we will meet again!

    wHAT INCREDIBLY GOOD PICTURES YOU MAKE WITH A PEN OPERATED CAMERA!! HAHAHA.
    It was fun and over before we knew it!
    Yeah the pouch....well lilac was just a wild guess dear ;)
    Can you believe I am home already and had a good night sleep. Here a lot has been done and today Henny will do the windows and some more.
    Hope your rehearsal was fun.
    And how lucky I am to be able to see my blog friend when I travel. The world is small sometimes :)
    And yes we will see each other again, that makes the goodbye so much easier.

      It IS amazing how *well* my pen-operated camera works! I love all my gifts..will wear the necklace to (where else?) yet another opera rehearsal!

      It is fabulous that the world (sometimes) is so small.... I hope you are catching up on your rest and that your arms are *healing*from toting all of Lo's Licorice!

      Babs... you are too cute! The lilac top was a gift from Lo to Marianne. (She adores purple too...) I was in my new tangerine top I bought at Bergdorf's while I was in NY....trying to *break out* into some bright colours!
