Midnight began to show signs he was not well a few weeks ago....we hoped he would improve...but he didn't...and Sunday, Athena took him to the Vet.. (I was working my de Young shift) The Vet told her it was time to put him to sleep - he had a rapidly-growing tumour that was spreading...
Midnight was thirteen years old...and lived (for the most part) a good, safe life although he was feral. He was our *Magic Black Cat*.....and now, when I go out to feed the *Boys*......I still look for that little *inkspot* amid the grass...
Athena and I miss him so.
Love to all..... hug your Furry Ones every day!
♥ Robin ♥
Oh so sad Robin. Hugs for you and Athena. I so know how you feel.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful tribute to him. You took such good care of him, you are an animal Robin Hood.
Hugs.
Big hugs
Poor Midnight. He's with Sjimmie, Sarah, Sunshine, Stella and so many others who we have loved and lost, both furry and human.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs, LS. Thank you for giving him such a loving place to come to all those years.
xo♥
so sorry about Midnight. You gave him much love and comfort in his wild feral life. Blessings to you and Athena and to dear Midnight.
ReplyDeleteI thought I saw Sjimmie everywhere in the beginning.......This will take a while .
ReplyDeleteOf course you will miss him.
These feral cats are tough but also dependent on your love and care. I am sure they love you too.
Wishing you strength dear......
He is forever grateful for what you did somewhere else watching over you.....
He was so lucky to have you
Maybe playing with Sjimmie ;)
Love and hugs
