"This is the violet hour, the hour of hush and wonder, when the affectations glow and valor is reborn, when the shadows deepen along the edge of the forest and we believe that, if we watch carefully, at any moment we may see the unicorn."

  5. I had to call Barry to come and see this. We both loved it! I was saying to him how the little fox on the right appeared as if thinking that it could only jump from that one spot and the other one was looking as if something really strange was going on. Adorable. Going to the P.O today, my life at times doesn't quite feel like my own...sigh. Love to you my dear.

  8. Hi Robin! This is so fantastic. Some day I will have to post the video we took a few years back. We had a litter of kits under our shed, and they would run and play in our yard - just so cute! Thank you for the smiles. xox

  9. Suki, Teri, Mim - yes, these little guys were amazing! It just goes to show that we ALL (animals and humans) share many of the same traits! I was thrilled that the photographer was able to capture this endearing scene!

  11. Teri - helloooo! It is great to have you visit. (I have been remiss lately....opera, opera 24/7....but it's winding down soon....so I will come 'a-visiting soon!) Good point about having indoor cats anywhere there is a lot of outdoor wild life.... Raccoons can also be deadly to kitties.

Big hugs to you and your Furry Brood!

  12. Allegra..... every time you visit, I am thrilled! I love that both you and Barry enjoyed this.... it really was a joy to watch these guys play! You caught the fact that they both reacted differently to this strange, new "toy"!

I keep you and B close to my heart every day.

    Love,

    ♥ Robin ♥

  18. heehee! i love this! i love foxes. just last week Chuck and i were in the marsh enjoying the late afternoon light (and getting some photos) when in the distance i saw one of the resident foxes run by!! they are rarely ever seen (at least by me) so i was really excited!

A beautiful movie you may enjoy 'The fox and the child' by Luc Jacquet, it's visually stunning, and oh the little foxes...

you are probably swimming to get around by now if this storm is to you too, we are flooding! keep warm and dry my northern california friend ♥ (those hats sound gorgeous) ☺ a true necessity!

  21. Lori..... I WAS swimming....but there is a temporary respite from the storm..but more expected!

How wonderful for you and Chuck to see a "fox in action'..... you know, I NEVER have....I live in hope!

Thank you for the Luc Jacquet recommendation....I will see if I can add it to me Netflix queue. Hope there are no sad moments in it.....I don't watch most animal films because there always seems to be (at least) one sad moment.....it's just too much for me....(yes, I am a "wuss")....

Stay warm and dry, dear Lori!!!!!

    Love to you and Owen,

    ♥ Robin ♥
