Animal Wednesday...... Meet Bofie, My L♥ve!

Here he is....*my* 12 year old Chocolate Lab.....Bofie!  He's getting a bit grey around his muzzle...and is slowing down a tad.....but, when my Ex opened the door to his apartment last Saturday..... the *Beefball* (our pet name for him) jumped for joy and showered me with Bofie-kisses.

I brought him another of his FAVOURITE toys....a WABBITT!  (Sorry Emily!)  For some reason, Bofie adores this Bunny - which my Ex and I named *Winston* waaaay back.  Every time *Winston* needed to be replaced, his number went up..... so now, after a few years absence from each other, we are at "Winston #9*....

Disemboweling the Bunny....

A proud *Papa* and his *son*.....  we have had our share of relationship problems....but one thing always remained steadfast.....their love for each other.  My Ex is a wonderful Dad.

HAW!

Love to all,

♥ Robin ♥

  1. Ah.. how cute Bofie is. What a nice Ex to let you go visit. How long did you get to visit with Bofie? You know they hate their pack not being together. Annie will be outside with her Daddy but barking at me to come out too. Too funny.. Great photos here. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Cris... the three of us spent a day together.... though my Ex and I have no plans to become a couple again, we did feel ♥sparks♥...and it was actually rather romantic...it was wonderful to feel like a *family* again. I know what you mean about my *leaving the pack*....when I was ready to board the train back to Manhattan, Bofie looked back at me as if to say: "Where are you going? Why aren't you coming home?" That was the only sad moment I had...

I think we may meet again this year....

  5. Beautiful guy, that Bofie!
How cool it is to have the sort of relationship with the ex that allows such reunions. Life is too short not to, right?

I had to stop picturing the look on his face when you left. Too sad.
Oh, and of course I meant Bofie, not the ex, hah!

    1. Babs...I am happy you got to see Bofie!
Of course, my Ex and I did not used to have this closeness....we went through two years where there was no communication whatsoever....but, that was the last chapter - and we have turned the page....

Yes, it was a poignant moment when we parted....the only sad time in my trip....but I have hopes we may all meet sgsin this year.

      Hugs,

    1. Ah, dear BS,
I am happy that you and Bri actually saw *Beefie* at KJ's - if only for a moment!
While I can't say I went to NY to reunite with the *Guys*....because in all truthfulness, I didn't know if we WERE going to meet...still, it was such an opportunity......it would have been difficult to pass it by.....I am happy it all worked out!

I am glad your visit with your Cousin went well! Love the powerful collages!

  9. Well, you did it. You made me really nostalgic for my old home. When we speak of San Francisco
I never get the same feeling as I do for New York, maybe because my life in New York was not only different but so rich! While San Francisco is small and familiar, New York was always big and adventurous. And Bofie Brown Eyes could come here any time, good Lord girl, what a sweet creature and I think that gray makes a gentleman look distinguished.

I am glad you are home safe and that you had a wonderful time. Much love from everyone here.

    1. Ah, Allegra.... it is wonderful to know that we share a deep love for NY... there really is no place quite like it...I felt like I was *home*...and that was revitalising to me!

Bofie.....yes, he DOES look like a distinguished Gentlemen.... you would adore him....he may be a big boy....but he is as gentle as can be....

      Love to all of you.....

  10. I'm here to say I'm glad you and bofie got to see each other and I hope you kissed on the lips

I love older dogs especially. Their gray white faces are so true and wise

I'm also glad you returned to new York and treated yourself to such a wonderful time. I love new York!!!!

    1. KJ...much kissing on the lips ensued between *Beefball* and me... (I have always been a kiss-on-the-lips girl!) Seeing Bofie's white/grey muzzle reminded me of the passing of time....and how precious it is to be around loved ones... I know how much you and JB miss Stella.... I really hope the two of you are seriously thinking of becoming doggie parents again!

NY is so wonderful....here's to the next trip when we all can meet up for a few days! Can you imagine *our group* walking across the Brooklyn Bridge?
      A-ha-ha!
